Hand aufs Herz: Wir haben uns doch alle schon mal dabei ertappt, beim Durchscrollen unseres Insta-Feeds ein ganz kleines bisschen neidisch zu werden. Ein traumhaftes Pool-Pic hier, ein makelloses Spiegelselfie da und natürlich jede Menge perfekt in Szene gesetzte Eggs Benedict und Açai Bowls – gegen die zuckerwattefarbene Welt der Influencer stinkt der Ottonormalalltag schon ganz schön ab. Aber wie heißt es doch so schön? Es ist eben auch nicht alles Gold, was glänzt.
Hinter den Kulissen wird nämlich geschummelt und getrickst, was der Filter hergibt. Und gerade in Sachen Beauty wird da ordentlich an der Realität geschraubt. Bauch einziehen, die richtige Pose sowie das perfekte Licht und schon sind da Bauchmuskeln, wo vorher keine waren. Und genau diese Schummeleien decken die Insta-Beauties, die wir dir heute vorstellen möchten, mit einem erfrischend selbstironischen Augenzwinkern auf.
Und so sieht der Realitätscheck aus:
"GOALS" VS "FATROLLS" ? To anyone who calls me "goals" or "perfection" when they see that left picture or other pictures of me on insta: just know that if this left picture is your "goal" the right one should be too!!! Both me, both beautiful and only taken minutes apart. So this is actually GOALS VS GOALS!! ✨ . ?New video is up on my Youtube called "can you get rid of all skinfold & fatrolls?" If instagram was a river and you went fishing the main thing you'd catch would be "flattering pictures" & "flexed bodies"?? Realise that you only see part of someone when you scroll through their account! ? . When I look at these pictures I see a beautiful girl in both of them!✨ It took me years though to learn to accept my body the way it is and I'm still learning to love it more every single day!❤ . So why do we mainly post pictures like the left one? I think everyone has their own reason. It could be insecurity but it could also be to show off hard work!?? . In the end we all need to learn that we are beautiful no matter what! A year ago I would have instantly deleted that picture on the right? And now? Do you see that giant smile? It's me smiling at myself in the mirror. I could see every roll, fold or whatever and thought; "you know what girl? You are beautiful!" ❤️ . Don't let some rolls hold you back in life!?? Only avoid going to parties cause you're at home eating cinnamon rolls, not because of some silly fatrolls! . . Should have slow motioned that part! Would have been hilarious!?? . Know that you don't need to lose weight or reach that "goal body" to be beautiful?? YOU ARE ALREADY BEAUTIFUL! Open your eyes and see how amazing you are! I wanna see you shine! I want you to see your own beauty! Walk to that mirror and tell yourself; I AM BEAUTIFUL!❤️❤️ . Me 1% of the time vs. 99% of the time. And I love both photos equally. Good or bad angles don't change your worth ❤️ I recently came across an article talking about how one woman stated she refuses to accept her flaws, because she doesn't see them as flaws at all. I LOVED that because it sends such a powerful message that our belly rolls, cellulite, stretch marks are nothing to apologize for, to be ashamed of, or to be obsessed with getting rid of! As I'm getting older, I have cellulite and stretch marks that aren't going away, and I welcome them. They represent a life fully lived (for 28 years so far :)) and a healthy life and body at that. How can I be mad at my body for perfectly normal "flaws"? This body is strong, can run miles, can lift and squat and push and pull weight around, and it's happy not just because of how it looks, but because of how it feels. So when you approach your journey, I want you to remember these things: I will not punish my body I will fuel it I will challenge it AND I will love it ??? & now here's a lil #30secondbeforeandafter transformation to help remind everyone that I 100% still have rolls when I sit down that YES, I am a little self conscious about and sometimes I play with them and wonder why they won't just go away?! But then I also remember that they're skin and they keep me warm at night ? • EVERYONE HAS SKIN! This is much a reminder to myself as to everyone else and also, skin is your BIGGEST organ! So there's A LOT of it! Additionally, people always ask me how to 'tighten' like how I tightened my stomach skin? Well ?? 1. I didn't. BUT, I also didn't lose all my weight in 2 weeks so I didn't really have excess skin? Your skin will tighten naturally if you lose weight at a healthy speed, and additionally, once you stay at a certain weight, your skin will get tighter, the elasticity just needs time! I was overweight for longer than I've been this weight, so just remember it's all about a balance! People want to get fit in like 2 months but just remember how long it took you to gain weight. Your body takes even longer to shed it and get healthy again! • So for everyone out here feeling discouraged bc I I saw one ab but then 7 rolls when you sit, it's okay!!! Same girl, same day, same time. ? Not a before and after. Not a weight loss transformation. Not a diet company promotion. ? I am comfortable with my body in both. Neither is more or less worthy. Neither makes me more or less of a human being. Neither invites degrading comments and neither invites sleezy words. ? I realize Instagram is mostly a highlight reel and we share our very best photos but I want to be as real and transparent as I can with all of you beauties and show the 'imperfect' along with the highlights. Guys, I've had 3 beautiful babies.. that's 3 giant pregnancies.. along with 3 chances of stretch marks.. This body has been through a whole lot of changes! For that reason I will never judge someone else for their body. I don't know their story or what they've been through or the true strength that is within them. ‼️DIFFERENT KIND OF "KEEP IT REAL"‼️ I know some people are all done with the "keep it real" pictures so I thought I'd try a new one? I find this one kinda hilarious?chilling by the pool instagram vs real life? . Anyone familiar with the concept of having all "normal" legs when you're standing but as soon as you sit down they transform into huge piles of meat??? Why is it that those 2 sticks we use to walk expand to the size of Texas whenever they touch a chair?? . This is the most NORMAL thing ever yet us girls seem to be so self conscious about it? Hello! Your legs are being pushed against a surface, they are supposed to expand! This doesn't mean you're fat?? Even muscle will just look like a huge shapeless pile of meat when there's no flexing involved? If you don't want your legs to expand maybe invest in stone legs!⛰⛏ I'd choose marble ones??? . We've just lost touch with reality because on the internet all we see are those freaking hot dog legs? I am guilty of posting those too! Yet even I wondered on my last vacay why my legs were so "big" when I sat down. ? . Thought I'd take a good comparison pic and I'm pretty sure I've got a hernia now? Creating that thighgap & skinny legs feel was real hard? I had to arch my back like crazy, hold my legs up (serious ab work was involved) and had to sit on the edge of the pool which caused me to almost fall. Both my camera & I would have drowned in the sadness of insta perfection (I would survive the water though, I can swim!??) To people who do sit like this in real life; I admire your core strenght & willpower! . Yep, that's the truth behind poolside hotdog pics. Truth be told I'd much rather sit like that right pic whilst enjoying an actual hotdog? What is your fave poolside snack? Kinda wanted to hold a piece of watermelon whilst taking this but it turns out that's only for advanced instagram posing? I couldn't hold myself up, flex them abs, hold a watermelon & take pics at the same time? Guess I better start practicing for my next vacay!?? . Ps.
